Promote the Kawarthas, Using Your Photographs!

The Greater Peterborough Area Economic Development Corporation (GPA EDC), invites professional and amateur photographers to submit images of the region for consideration for use in promoting Peterborough & the Kawarthas Tourism and the region throughout 2008.

Favoured photographic themes include four-season images of people of all ages, from around the world enjoying the Kawarthas through festivals, sporting events, golfing, canoeing, cultural activities, boating, waterway events, fairs, nature/wildlife, snowmobiling, skiing and other activities. A special emphasis is made on the importance of winter pictures as few are submitted each year.

The Peterborough & the Kawarthas Travel Guide is the most widely distributed tourism publication for the Greater Peterborough Area. Each year, over 100,000 Travel Guides are distributed throughout Ontario, Canada, U.S. and Europe.

All photographers’ images used in the Travel Guide will receive a published credit and nominal fee. Images must be labelled with contact information. Photographers will be required to complete a general release form for all submitted images. Download a copy of the Photo Release Form or obtain a copy at the GPA EDC Office, 210 Wolfe Street, Peterborough. Submissions will not be accepted without a completed release form. Digital images are preferred.

Deadline for submissions is Tuesday July 31st, 2008. All digital images must be 300 dpi (high resolution) and on CD with photographers contact information clearly marked. Disks will not be returned unless specifically requested. Images can be dropped off or mailed to:
